Course Description

The "Linux for Cloud & DevOps Engineers" course is designed to equip aspiring and experienced professionals with the essential skills needed to excel in cloud computing and DevOps roles. Throughout this comprehensive training, you'll dive deep into Linux, the operating system of choice for cloud infrastructure, and gain proficiency in leveraging its power to automate infrastructure management, streamline deployments, and support DevOps workflows.

The course begins by covering the fundamental concepts of Linux, ensuring a strong foundation for subsequent topics. You'll learn how to navigate the file system, manipulate file permissions, and utilize command-line utilities effectively. With hands-on exercises, you'll develop practical expertise in shell scripting, enabling you to automate repetitive tasks and solve complex challenges efficiently.

Moving forward, the course delves into system administration, empowering you to manage users, install software packages, configure networks, and monitor system performance. Security aspects of Linux are also explored, including user authentication, file permissions, encryption, and securing network services to fortify your infrastructure against threats.

As the course progresses, you'll explore virtualization and containerization technologies, such as KVM and Docker, enabling you to create and manage cloud-based environments effectively. Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP will be examined, with a focus on virtual machine management, storage configurations, and networking setups specific to each platform.

Configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef will be introduced, providing you with the knowledge to automate server configurations and application deployments across your infrastructure. Additionally, you'll gain insights into continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, learning how to automate software builds, testing, and deployments using popular tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

To ensure your infrastructure remains robust, the course covers monitoring and logging techniques. You'll learn how to monitor system metrics, set up alerts, and analyze logs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack, allowing you to proactively identify and resolve issues.

By the end of this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge required to become a proficient Linux user, capable of architecting and managing cloud-based infrastructure, automating deployments, and supporting DevOps practices. Whether you're an aspiring cloud engineer, a DevOps practitioner, or an IT professional looking to enhance your Linux expertise, this course will empower you to succeed in the dynamic world of cloud computing and DevOps engineering.
