simply adopting a leadership theory and training in related behaviors, a
program supporting growth within a community framework becomes essential in
today's dynamic world.

This leader, initially not the crowd's favorite, achieved victory through
creative thinking and the support of a committed community. Are you actively

The OLC leadership development programs provide a foundation
for leadership, allowing leaders to explore the evolution of their roles within
a community atmosphere. An old African proverb, "If you want to go fast,
go alone. If you want to go far, go together," resonates with the call for
intentional partnerships to change worldviews and engage collective
consciousness about the challenges we collectively face and the creative
solutions we can develop together.
Strategic leaders play diverse roles that advance programs
within institutions and the broader global field. Engaging in OLC leadership

building a supportive network. Through mentorship, leaders gain self-awareness,

As a faculty instructional designer, my perspective on
leadership shifted after engaging in an OLC Leadership event in Fall 2022. OLC
leadership programs address cultural, pedagogical, ethical, relational, and
environmental issues while advocating for change within an international
community. Reflecting on Arnold's ideas (2022) on leadership in Higher
Education, the OLC leadership programs emphasize the importance of reflection,
effective communication, and agile project management approaches.
OLC leadership events, like the upcoming Global
Leadership Impact Summit, streamline management approaches and identify
strategies to leverage processes and amplify advocacy positions. Through these
opportunities, leaders cultivate a growth mindset for continuous improvement
nationally and internationally. Trust and a positive approach to change
management support the urgency to act. While the program may conclude, the
community endures, fostering continued collaboration and encouragement among
team members.
